Our new on-line recruitment service is aimed at anyone who wants fast, easy access to information on current vacancies within the council, and who wants to save time when applying for a job. You can receive details by e-mail and there is easy to use search facilities to help find the job that's just right for you. All adverts link to detailed job description and person specifications, as well as our online application form.
Wakefield Council is a participating organisation in the National Fraud Initiative. If you are successful in your application, as your employer, the Council will share your payroll data both within the Council and with other local authorities for the purpose of preventing and detecting fraud. Consequently, once your employment commences, if you are in receipt of any means tested benefits (e.g. council tax benefit, job seekers allowance, etc) you must disclose details of your employment to the relevant Benefit-paying Authority.
